Press Releases > Evolution Upgrade Its USB Controller Range
New improvements to the Evolution range provide unique advantages to Mac and PC computer music makers

January 16th 2003, Los Angeles – Evolution Electronics, the UK based manufacturer of USB computer music products, announce a number of upgrades to its successful range of controllers which enhance control, save time and increase productivity for musicians.

The new series will feature a number of internal technical improvements including a more powerful processor. The most significant benefit to the user is the ability to store ten favourite controller setups in memory – in addition to the ten locations for other keyboard settings.
This also ensures that performance parameters and program changes can be activated without affecting the current controller setup or vice versa.

The 10 controller memory locations will come pre-programmed with useful setups for popular music software applications and instruments.

To avoid difficult and invisible programming operations, a new crystal clear multi-purpose LCD display replaces the old 3 digit LED design. The new display shows all current controller information and generally makes operation of the keyboards easier.

A totally new design of rotary knob will also be introduced across the whole range. The new design is much wider with deep vertical grooves which provide superior grip for the extreme control demanded by today’s computer musicians.

The new series will be available Q2 2003.
