X-Session, the complete computer based DJ solution for
both PC and Mac users which includes the X-Session USB
DJ mixer, Ableton Live XS performance software and the
Arturia Storm XS virtual studio, all for only £99.95
inc VAT.
Designed for the new breed of computer based DJ, X-Session
takes DJing forward into the digital world with its
USB connection and huge selection of assignable features,
including full-size crossfader, providing computer DJs/Producers
with the direct hands-on control they need for today’s
hottest DJing/Live Performance software.
The X-Session’s crossfader is designed for classic
DJ mixing and cutting, but it has another trick up its
sleeve. Being fully assignable, it can also be used
to control and fade between two different software effects
creating incredible new sounds within Live and Storm.
For essential twisting and tweaking of numerous software
effects such as Delay/EQ/Filter/Distortion/Flange and
Pitch, the X-Session has 16 chunky rotary dials which
are ridged for extra grip. No slipping fingers with
this beast however hard you wanna tweak! There are a
further ten assignable buttons which can be used to
trigger loops, grooves and digital effects in Live or
Storm.
A unique feature is the Control Mute function which
mutes the output of all the controllers allowing users
to reposition them with no risk of parameters such as
effects and volume levels jumping during a mix or performance.
This also allows any number of tracks to be killed then
slammed back into the mix at the touch of a button.
That’s not all! As the X-Session mixer is a standard
USB/MIDI controller, it will provide finger-tip control
for any software plug-in or virtual instrument, eliminating
the frustrations of using a mouse.
There are 10 memory locations for storing setups which
are non-volatile, so everything is saved even when the
unit is powered off. A dedicated librarian software
program also gives PC users the ability to save, edit
and share their X-Session setups. Synths and modules
can also be controlled via the standard MIDI Out socket.
