Download the latest drivers.
Un-zip the drivers into a known location.
Run the 'drivers_install.exe file. This file will update
your old drivers and install new ones.
You may find it easier if you un-zip the drivers onto
a floppy disk.
Windows XP users should first try updating your drivers.
To do this:
1. Select 'My Computer' from the desktop.
2. Select 'Control Panel'.
3. Select 'System'.
4. Select 'Hardware'
5. Select the 'Device Manager' Tab.
6. Scroll down to the heading 'Universal Serial Bus
Controllers'.
7. Click on the '+' sign next to the heading. You will
see it change to a '-' sign, and a list of sub-headings
will appear.
8. Look for the Evolution USB driver in this list of
Sub-headings. Click on 'Driver Details'. If you can't
see it, consult the 'USBInstall.pdf' to see how to install
the driver.
9. Click on 'update driver' and select the directory
where you have stored the new drivers.
10. Scroll up the Device manager window and look for
a heading 'Sound Video and Game Controllers'.
11. Click on the '+' next to this heading, to display
the list of sub-headings.
12. Look for the Evolution MIDI driver. Click on 'Driver
Details'.
13. Click on 'update driver' and select the directory
where you have stored the new drivers.
14. Exit the Device Manager.
If this has not worked and you still can not receive
MIDI in, you need to fully remove any Evolution (or
other) drivers that may be corrupted from your system.
Step-by-step guides are given below explaining how to
do this:
Select the Operating System you are installing the
drivers on:
Windows
98
Windows 2000
Windows
ME
Windows
XP
Note: Windows NT, 95 and 3.1 do not support USB.
