Instructions for
setting up the UC-33 with the Sonar preset (PC only):
Once you've
downloaded the Sonar
2 preset patch download, copy the zipped contents
into a new folder.
1. Ensure Sonar 2 is already installed on your PC.
2. Run the 'Sonar 2 preset patch.exe'.
3. Run Sonar.
4. Go to the options menu and select 'Control Surfaces'.
5. Click on the yellow star symbol.
6. From the list select 'Cakewalk generic control surface'.
7. Select the UC33 as the MIDI input. If it is not listed,
ensure it is selected as the main MIDI input.
8. Select preset 14 on the UC33.
9. Select the 'View' menu.
10. Open the Console.
11. Select the 'View' menu and go to 'Toolbars'. Click
in the 'control surfaces' box.
12. A new toolbar will appear, detailing the Generic
remote. Click on the properties symbol on the far right
of the new toolbar.
13. Select 'Sonar UC33 Generic preset' as the preset
from the drop down list at the top of the preferences
window.
The Sonar preset will control 8 tracks in the Sonar
mixing console. Note that the controllers of the console
will not move until the UC33 controllers have caught
up the position of the controller in Sonar.
